Apr 20, 2023 - Congratulations to my stellar Rice undergrads Agustin and Mohammad for receiving a Prof. Paul S. Engel Research Fellowship and George Holmes Richter Memorial Fellowship, respectively, to continue their research projects full time this coming summer!
Apr 17, 2023 - The group is grateful for a Welch Foundation grant to support our carbon dioxide reduction chemistry.
Feb 20, 2023 - Prof. Natalia Gonzalez-Pech comes to the group as a sabbatical visitor. She will be with us for 6 months.

Aug 26, 2022 - Our paper "Synthesis of Square Planar Cu4 Clusters" has been accepted for publication in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., congrats Manasseh and collaborators! 
Aug 2, 2022 - Swati successfully defended her PhD, congrats and best of luck! We are going to miss you.
August, 2022 - The NSF has selected our MRI grant for the acquisition of a Single-crystal X-ray Diffractometer. This grant will support the access to SCXRD in western PA, and surrounding and collaborating institutions.
August, 2022 - The NSF will be supporting our efforts on PFAS through our grant: "ERASE-PFAS: Bottom-up synthesis of polymeric membranes for PFAS sequestration". Congrats team!

May 2, 2022 - Saber is awarded the 2022 Merck Research Award for Underrepresented Chemists of Color, congratulations Saber!

Nov 24, 2021 - We have been awarded an RSC Inclusion & Diversity Fund to work with Clubes de Ciencia Mexico (CdeCMx) to support the outreach efforts of CdeCMx for the upcoming summer 2022 STEM-Chemistry workshops. Here we go Chihuahua City!

July 23, 2020 - Our group reports the synthesis and characterization of a novel family of compounds that we have termed Tubularenes. 
Jun 15, 2020 - Welcome Victor! He will join our synthetic efforts this summer towards the realization of tubularenes.
